Giving
Tuesday

Your Giving Tuesday gift helps keep our SEARCH Group Home running smoothly for our family of eight incredible adults with intellectual challenges. Every dollar saved on maintenance goes directly toward enriching their lives — funding meaningful programs, creative crafts, and even their cherished annual vacation. Together, we can make every day brighter for them.

Give where it makes a real impact! Your Giving Tuesday donation helps keep the SEARCH Group Home running — and every dollar saved means more crafts, programs, and special moments for our eight amazing residents. Help us help them live fully!

For our family of eight adults with intellectual challenges, the SEARCH Group Home is more than a house — it’s a home filled with care, creativity, and connection. This Giving Tuesday, your support helps cover vital upkeep so we can focus on what truly matters: enriching our residents’ lives with programs, crafts, and our special annual vacation. Help us keep their home—and hearts—thriving.

GIVING TUESDAY IS DECEMBER 2
To kick off Giving Tuesday, help us match our generous $3500 donation!
State funding provides $3 for each hour of care for our Group Home residents.
But we need $5 per hour, which comes from Thrift Shop sales and fundraising.
Your donation will enrich our residents’ lives, such as making possible an annual vacation.

who we are
Shenandoah County SEARCH, Inc. (“SEARCH”) was established in August, 1978 by Preston and Vivian Poole, and others who were interested in the welfare of intellectually challenged citizens. SEARCH is a Section 501(c)3 non-profit corporation. Thus donations to SEARCH are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by applicable law.
SEARCH Continues to operate in memory of Vivian Poole, who dedicated 30 years of her life to this cause.
SEARCH is grateful for the visionary leadership of Sid and Betsy Price following the death of Vivian Poole. They helped put SEARCH on the road to success! Their generosity and vision provided SEARCH with the current Thrift Shop building. Care for our residents guided their vision.
