Volunteer
Volunteers are our lifeline. Volunteers in the Thrift Shop are salespeople, cashiers, sorters, cleaners, display designers, truck drivers, and furniture movers. Volunteers also serve on the Board, the Store Committee, and on the Fund Raising committee. Volunteers help with planned events, and volunteers do publicity and maintain social media. To volunteer in ANY way, please contact Sue Larkin at 540-477-2600. Volunteers are recognized at an annual luncheon.

Donate — SEARCH would not survive without donations.
Monetary donations are especially needed for up keep to our historic group home. SEARCH is a Section 501(c)3 non-profit corporation, and thus donations to SEARCH are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by applicable law. Checks are welcome and can be mailed to P.O. Box 1147, Mount Jackson, VA 22842

Donations of items to the Thrift Shop generate the largest portion of our income which supports the Group Home. Donations can be taken to the store during store hours before 3:30. If you have furniture or many items, please call the store in advance and make an appointment so we are sure to have room for them. Call Sue Larkin, store manager, at 540-477-2600. The Group Home is dependent on revenue from the store and monetary donations to survive.

Fundraise
Fundraisers are the FUN part of SEARCH! Volunteers plan and carry out many activities such as our Family Concert, hosting the bikers of Bike Virginia, selling loaded baked potatoes at the Apple Festival, Christmas and Easter bake sales, High Teas and Fashion Shows, and our Winter Warmth Lunch. Check our events page for any upcoming events. Your attendance at these events is another way to support us!
